The LabSpion goniometer is the ideal way to measure a wide variety of light sources ranging from outdoor fixtures to panel lights and LED strip. The light source is easily attached to the goniometer and rotation is both quick and silent. Most importantly, the LabSpion handles light sources up to 25 kg and 1.5 m in diameter.
The LabSpion, along with the use of the LabSensor, accurately reads all colour and lumen-related data, which is then exported into customisable PDF test reports, as well as comprehensive IES and LDT files. All professional lighting planners use simulation files such as IES and LDT files, meaning this is another area where Techlume can play a part in making every lighting installation perfect (or as close as it can get).
LabSensor, when used in conjunction with the LabSpion goniometer, measures a wide range of data from the light source.
It is able to measure total light output in an entire 3D distribution field as well as measuring all colour details (colour temperature, CRI etc.) in just one measurement. Other outdated light measurement methods would require two separate, time consuming measurements to achieve the same result. This is what separates the Viso light measurement system from most others on the market.
LabPower is a combined AC power supply and power analyser. Because AC mains power feed is not always stable, LabPower helps by providing a pure sine wave feed to the light source, ensuring a smooth and continuous flow of electricity which is important for maintaining a consistent light output.
Every Viso light measurement system has a built-in power analyser. LabPower bypasses this built-in analyser, adding more accuracy and specific features, which ensures the test circuit and analyser uncertainties comply with the relevant measurement standards (IES LM-79 and CIE S 025). Power characteristics measured by LabPower can easily be included as a crucial element in any of our test reports.
Some of the benefits of combining a power supply with a power analyser include:
- A stable power feed right at the light source or driver terminals, because of the remote sensing option. This helps to compensate for any cable voltage drop.
- The LabPower device is compact and fits right next to the measurement system.
- Only one communication cable is required to your PC with the Light Inspector software.
- An advanced feed-back loop maintains your voltage and frequency settings throughout the stabilisation measurement.
LabFlicker is a semi-handheld flicker tester for all common light sources. All relevant flicker graphics and metrics – including SVM and PstLM – are displayed.
It connects directly to the Light Inspector software giving you a live preview of your flicker signal. The LabFlicker instrument and the Viso Light Inspector software on your PC constitute a portable and precise flicker measurement solution. Raw flicker data can be downloaded for more thorough investigations.
The smart signal processing algorithm frames and calculates your flicker data in real time. The LabFlicker can be used as a stand-alone flicker tester but gets more powerful when used together with any Viso goniometer. Because all flicker data can be integrated into light measurement files, the complete photometric data set can be exported into one complete report. This eliminates the complicated hassle of combining multiple systems together in order to create a report.
LabDisc removes the last bit of stray light. Although all laboratory surfaces are black, a small amount of light is always reflected. This stray light can reach the sensor and interfere with the test results. Therefore, it is important to avoid stray light where possible.
Viso sensors have a narrow field of view, which is covered by LabDisc. The small hole in the middle ensures the entire light source is still in view. LabDisc thus eliminates all stray light from the ceiling, floor and side walls, with stray light from the rear wall being reduced to a minimum.
